Our founding principal has worked within Local Government Regulatory Services for 23 years and has further years of experience working within the private sector. He has a unique understanding of the challenges for businesses within the leisure and hospitality sector and a creative mind that can provide solutions without saddling you with costly or burdensome processes.

As a licensing specialist our founding principal has accrued decades of experience in aspects of licencing work, conducting regulatory inspections, preparing cases for hearings, and presenting cases in quasi-judicial hearings. With a sound health and safety background and network of trusted experts we can cover all the topics, such as food safety, fire safety, environmental health, and noise prevention strategies through to planning.

We are members of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx), hold qualifications with NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), and are now registered with The Institute of Fire Safety Managers. 

During our first 12 months we have seen fantastic uptake in our services with increasing numbers of licence applications granted, and we have been involved in many hearings with resulting successful outcomes.
In addition to expanding our network of associates, which now includes specialists in Information Governace and Police Processes, we have also advanced our services to now included fire risk assessment, while continuing to build on our brand.

Mark Marshall

Director and Founding Principle

Mark began his career in Local Government in 1999 following a two year spell as a Police Officer in Lancashire. He qualified as Legal Executive in 2005 and headed up the Licensing and Health and Safety Team at Blackpool Council until 2018.

From 2018 he spent time at another North West Local Authority where he was called upon by the LGA (Local Government Association) to work on an improvement plan.

In 2020 he moved to a large business in the Tourism and Hospitality sector building a package of systems and processes to improve legal compliance and safety across three complex sites.

During a varied career within Local Government a myriad of skills and expertise have been obtained, including policy and process building, systems analysis, improvement plans and a comprehensive knowledge and understanding a wide range of regulations and guidance that affect business.

With a track record for delivery of outcomes, the knowledge and expertise obtained can be targeted to the business needs keeping things relevant, simple and focused.
