Representation at Hearing

The application for a new Premises Licence was heard on the 24th of March 2022. The applicant faced public objections, but the application was granted as requested. The decision was appealed by residents and the decision to grant the licence was later upheld by Blackpool Magistrates. Application for later hours in the Cumulative Impact Area in Blackpool was heard on the 28th of June 2022.
Notoriously difficult to obtain new licences or extend existing licences, the application was the first of its kind to be granted in 4 years. The agenda and case papers can be read here

The Licence was reviewed by the Local Authority and supported by the Police who alleged the Crime and Disorder Objective had been undermined.
An extensive written submission was produced as part of the defence. The Licence was suspended for 14 days with 2 conditions added.. The agenda and case papers can be read here
